Ayesha Khan

Ayesha Khan is an accomplished political specialist and journalist with deep expertise in analytical reporting, socio-political analysis, qualitative research, narrative analysis, and documentation. Her work focuses on identifying social trends, shaping interventions for social needs, and engaging with a wide spectrum of stakeholders including bureaucrats, politicians, community leaders, and social influencers. Known for her strategic communication and consensus-building skills, Ayesha brings critical thinking and strong team collaboration to every project.
Since April 2013, Ayesha has served as a Political Specialist at the U.S. Consulate General in Mumbai, where she provides socio-political analysis and reporting on Central-Western India for U.S. government officials. She has played a key role in outreach to government stakeholders, contributed to U.S. Congress-mandated reports like the Human Rights and Religious Freedom Reports, and addressed critical issues such as minority rights, gender equity, and extremism. Her contributions have significantly broadened the Consulate’s outreach and helped foster meaningful bilateral engagement.
Prior to this, Ayesha was a State News Coordinator for the Madhya Pradesh edition of The Times of India and spent over a decade with The Indian Express, serving in various editorial roles including Senior Assistant Editor. She led state-wide coverage, particularly in Ahmedabad and Vadodara, and guided a team of reporters in political, social, and developmental journalism.
